Oh yeah i'm out out the Red Bull Rampage in the Utah Desert, I went to the site for the first time today, SHes GNAR! way bigger stuff than last year.. I spent the morning digging my line before I started to MELT after lunch with 38 degree tempretures. we went home for some lunch and then went and shralped on the old rampage site till dark . Bloody sweeeeet day! I will be doing more building over the next few days and testing out some of the BURLY features the Rampage team have constructed . Its gonna be a sick comp. Cheers Kelly
I have just spent the last two days at the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas , it was all good , I checked out a whole lot of new bike industry GIZMOS and walked around alot and also talked alot! it was pretty fun.
My bike sponsor Corsair bikes http://www.corsairbikes.com/ were nice enough to kit me out a siiiiiick new bike to ride at the Red Bull Rampage , (see pics) I spent most of my first day at the show drooling on it ,super excited to ride.
The next day when i got to the show , i turned up to the Corsair booth to check out my new whip and it wasnt there. Me ,Sha and my little bro went to Gunn lake in the Chillcoatain mountains to do a float plane drop on the weekend , Its a 15 min plane ride and then a 26km mostly downhill ride from spruce lake to Gunn lake.
The dirt up there is amaaazing , no rocks and super flowwy trails . get up there!
I'm Back from my trip to Alaska, looking back it was a great trip , I was there for 10 days . we Scoped/built/rode/filmed and shot every day , we stayed in a camping ground close to the riding zone , i stayed in a old school military tent and the rest of the crew stayed in various vehicles or trailer on our site.
On the way back to the airport we got lucky and we sow the northern lights firing on all cylinders! it was so amazing , I allways thought that it was a band of light in the sky but I was stoked to find the whole sky swirling/moving and spinning .I thought the frickin ALIENS were coming! freaky shizzle!
Alsaka is an amazing place A BIG Thanks to Gravity for sending us down there!!

I'm currently on a gravity photo/film trip in Alaska , this is the first time I have been to Alaska and I am pretty dam stoked to be here !I am here with Eric Porter and Chris Van Dine also world class photographer Harookz and emmy award winning filmer (haha) Don Hampton.
The landscape here is amazing ,massive mountains surround us and just driving to restaurant ,my eyes are caught by shreddable lines just off the side of the highway .
We spent the first couple of days scoping and building , then it was go time ,the light was firing and we bagged some super cool stuff. Its been big bike stuff all the way so far , everything is rough steep and loooooooooooooooose , its a hell of alot of fun to ride .
I'm so destroyed right now after a 5 days of clambering up mountains with my bike , tomorrow its more of the same so I better get some sleep!

Yesterday was the Crankworx Whistler Slopestyle final, it is the biggest and baddest event on the slopestyle calendar so I was stoked to get a spot in the final. The course was pretty GNARSTY! Big jumps ,big drops and the unforgiving rocky hard whistler dirt.

I headed up for practice at 1pm ready for a 5.30pm start , at 4.30 the crowd really started rolling in , I was blown away wih the amount of people who showed up to watch ! seeing the crowd and also thinking that the event was live on the web had me feeling a bit nervous and pumped at the same time!

5.30 came around and it was time to send it! My first run was money. I landed all my tricks clean and smooth, I took an alternative line on the kona feature with a wallride to table out thing and came out with an 83.00 score and had me sitting in 4th after everyone did their 1st runs. there was so much Carnage in the comp! i wrecked my second run along with alot of other people! after run number two I was in 5th and thru to the "super final" I was so pumped! I was considering getting rowdy off the 30ft X25ft drop mid course but decided against it as the consequences were so high and I didn't feel confident enough about spinning it. my 1st run score carried me thru to 5th place over all which I am really pumped on! I picked up a well needed cheque and headed out to celebrate! Thanks to everone for the comments and messages , my FB page caught on fire!haha cheers guys! and thanks to all my great sponsors for making it possible for me to ride my bike around the world.
Today we had Qualifiers for the Crankworx Whistler Finals . 10 people are already pre qualed and then 6 more have the chance to make the final in the qualifying round , I put together a couple of pretty decent runs and I am one of the six to go thru to saturdays final . I'm here in my 2nd home of Whistler B.C , Alll is good ,Crankworx festival is going on at the mo , the place is crazey!
I am getting ready for Slopestyle ,Its one of the biggest events of the year and I am really stoked to get an invite. The course is pretty sweet , it has a Massive drop in the middle and a couple of pretty big jumps.

I had a shocker at Crankworx Col... rode super dialled in pracco, 3'd the fruit bowl gap a few times and did my run top to bottom a few times and was feeling good , when my run came around I just cooked it! messed up the speed on the hip in my 1st run , then got caught by the head wind on my 2nd ..... just not keepin it cool in my head!.
I got a Crankworx whistler invite so I am pumped ...Gotta hold'er together on that one!

Its all good , We had one practice session on Wednesday and I got all the features on the course dialed in.

well Claymore finals went down on the weekend , the weather was sweet as , the course was sweet as , my bike was sweet as . Everything was sweet as.
it was great to have another kiwi (paul Langlands) there to shred with , and break down the largely north american feild.
we showed up pretty early on sat morn as we had to get Pauls forks changed as he AXED them in a massive crash in traing the night before ...( top of the walll ride to nose case the deck of the quarter, gnaaarly!!!)
I had a couple things to get done in training and ended up having a big off corkflipping from quarter to bank which landed me in the 1st aid room . a few bandages later I was back on the course ready to take my run , I laid down a saftey run 1st up with a couple of mistakes , but was good to have a full run in the bag , Paul had a couple mistakes in his 1st run also and we scored about the same I think ,
For my 2nd run I wanted to send it , I was going well I rode the top of the course clean and smooth I 3ed the drop mid course , when I barrel fipped out of the quarter to bank my tyre blew out , I was hella pissed about that , and my run was done .
Pauls 2nd run was all good he stomped everything including a maaaasive supz seat grab mid course . hell yeah
paul ended 15th and me 18th ...KIWIS !
I am sitting 13th now in the FMB standings http://fmbworldtour.com/2010/ranking-results/ so will be trying to do well in colorado next weekend to stay close to the top ten for crankworx.
